Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House that the LNP 2018 State Conference did not rule out the possibility of a nuclear power plant being built on Bribie Island and also passed a motion of support to further consider the feasibility of nuclear power plants in Queensland. Your petitioners know that nuclear power is unsafe, dangerous and leaves a legacy of toxic waste for our children and our children's children. It is damaging to our environment and our health. Your petitioners oppose the construction of a nuclear power plant on Bribie Island. Your petitioners are calling on the Queensland Labor Government to stand up to the LNP and say no to a nuclear power plant on Bribie Island.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ask that the Queensland Labor Government demand that the Federal LNP Government in Canberra reject all efforts by the LNP to progress a nuclear power industry in Queensland.
