TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that rugby league great, former Queensland Maroons State of Origin captain and Australian Kangaroos captain Cameron Smith has announced his retirement from representative football. As a former resident of Marsden in the City of Logan who began his rugby league career at the Logan Brothers Rugby League Club, Cameron Smith is one of rugby league's greatest ever players and a great Queenslander.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to commission and install a statue of Cameron Smith at the home of Queensland rugby league, Suncorp Stadium, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the State of Queensland and the game of rugby league football.
