This petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the plan to remove the right turn option from Biarra Street onto Braun Street, Deagon, as part of the Gateway Upgrade North Project. The decision to remove the right hand turn option effectively cuts-off residents on the western side of Braun Street from the most convenient route into Brisbane City - via Braun Street and on to Sandgate Road.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to require the consolidation of the current signalised pedestrian crossing on Braun Street into a signalised intersection at Biarra Street, so as to allow those exiting from the western side of Braun Street a right-hand turn provision to complement the finalisation of the Gateway Upgrade North Project.
