Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the perilous state of the current governance of Logan City Council and the recent discontinuance of the contract of Chief Executive Officer, Ms Sharon Kelsey.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to encourage the Minister for Local Government to investigate Logan City Council with a view, if appropriate, to compelling the Council to re-engage Ms Kelsey as Chief Executive Officer; and if appropriate, to censure or take other necessary action against any persons involved in the discontinuance of her contract.
