Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the lack of bus park 'n' ride facilities and express bus services from the Pine Rivers region towards inner north Brisbane and Brisbane's CBD. We note that a potential option was investigated by the Department of Transport and Main Roads during 2014 and was announced as an election commitment by the former State Government in January 2015.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to re-investigate the option the Department of Transport and Main Roads were considering in 2014, as well as any other potential options for a bus park 'n' ride in the Warner, Brendale, Eatons Hill region. Petitioners particularly request that consideration is given to the anticipated traffic congestion that will be generated due to the likely substantial additional development planned in the suburb of Warner, which will potentially add an additional 3,600 households to Warner.
