TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for an upgrade to two lanes of 250 metres of Yawalpah Road, Pimpama, on the eastern approach to the dual lane roundabout at Exit 49 of the M1. The congestion leads to dangerous road rage actions and significant delays to commuters and other locals during peak times.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure the City of Gold Coast undertake the essential and necessary roadworks to turn Yawalpah Road into two lanes for 250 metres, leading to the roundabout at Exit 49, which is already a dual lane roundabout.
