TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need to construct a new police station in the fastest growing region in Australia. Having seen the construction of 9 new schools in 7 years, it is clear the boom in population demands the need of a new police station and an additional 50 police officers, in the Northern Gold Coast. It is therefore essential in that, in order to adequately protect this fast growing community and for the provision of services to the residents of the Coomera electorate, for a police station to be built in Ormeau and manned by the provision of 50 additional police officers.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure planning and construction of a police station at Ormeau and the provision of 50 additional police officers.
