TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the need for a bridge over the Burrum River between Buxton and Burrum Heads to boost the local economy and employment, provide an alternate route when the Bruce Highway is closed between Childers and Maryborough and to reduce the travel time between Hervey Bay and Bundaberg.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to consider their plea for funding and commissioning of a technical investigation and feasibility study in preparation for a submission to Infrastructure Australia for federal funding for the project.
