TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the fact that the population of the area surrounding GCUH, including Griffith University, a new private hospital and the Commonwealth Games Village, will increase to that of a large regional town within three years.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to deliver a 24 hour manned Police Beat at the Gold Coast University Hospital precinct to cater for alcohol and drug related incidents occurring in and around the facility.
