TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draw the attention of the House to the review of the VLAD Laws, with the current Labor Government's intention to repeal and replace the 2013 legislation. Queensland Residents have experienced a reduction in the Criminal Bikie presence since the introduction of the VLAD Laws, which is positively impacting our communities.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ask the VLAD Review taskforce not to recommend the repeal or replacement of the 2013 legislation and to retain the VLAD Laws as they currently stand with further strengthening recommendations as required.
