TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Electors of the Division of Mermaid Beach draws to the attention of the House that the Queensland State Parliament notes the proposal by Gold Coast Airport Pty Ltd to install an Instrument Landing System (ILS) at Gold Coast Airport which will create a new flight path over residential homes on the Gold Coast.

The ILS is outdated technology and will create noise, visual pollution and diminished home values to residents under the flight path.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to call upon the Federal Government to reject the proposal by Gold Coast Airport Pty Ltd to install an Instrument Landing System (ILS) at Gold Coast Airport which will create a new flight path over residential homes on the Gold Coast.
