The petition of residents of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that access to these islands is very expensive and time consuming and with the growing population more stress shall be put on Moreton Bay Park.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to give permission for a toll bridge to be funded and built by private enterprise to North Stradbroke Island via Russell Island and at no cost to any government. Also, it would mean millions of dollars in tourism for the area.
