            Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the forced amalgamation of the former Redcliffe City Council with other local government areas without consultation.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to note that we the undersigned, hereby petition the Queensland Government to conduct a referendum on the proposal to de-amalgamate the former Redcliffe City Council from the current amalgamated local government area known as Moreton Bay Regional Council, on the understanding a newly reformed Redcliffe City Council would be responsible for the cost of the de-amalgamation as per the policy of the Queensland LNP Government.
