The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the current proposal for the Bruce Jighway Upgrade Planning Study.  The Bruce Highway/Caloundra Interchange if implemented will irreversibly damage 76 ha of iconic remnant forest that contains koalas, ancient trees, endangered animals and nationally recognised critically endangered lowland rainforest.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to please not realign Steve Irwin Way so that it damages this forest. The remnant forest must be preserved so the future of the animals and ancient trees within are safe.
