TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the lack of training hours, on-bike experience and mandatory requirements needed to obtain a motorbike licence in Queensland through QRIDE.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to overhaul Queensland's current motorbike licensing laws and implement tougher regulations to obtain a motorbike licence through QRIDE in relation to age, driver experience and on-road motorbike training hours to prevent unskilled and inexperienced motorbike fatalities.
