TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Electors of the Ashgrove draws to the attention of the House the misuse of taxpayer funds ($91million expenditure for 5-10% improvement as stated by DTMR); lack of open and transparent consultation with residents; lack of support or counselling for residents facing resumption; and non-disclosure of comprehensive information to the community impacted directly and indirectly by the Wardell Street/Samford Road, Enoggera intersection upgrade.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to:

·     urgently terminate progression of the DTMR concept plan for the Wardell Street/Samford Road intersection upgrade concept plan

·     review DTMR policies and procedures to ensure this and all future concept plans provide:

      - options for consideration

      - full detail of ROI and value for money estimations

      - full, open and transparent consultation with all parties directly and indirectly affected

      - full disclosure of statistics, data, information upon which planning is based

      - full support & counselling provided to parties directly and indirectly affected by resumptions

·    request the Ombudsman investigate the above failings.
