The petition of the residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that the citizens of this State are tired of the inadequate sentencing of criminals by our State's magistrates.


Your petitioners therefore request the House to call on the Attorney-General to reinstate truth in sentencing and ensure that penalties reflect community expectations.
