TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the decline in the availability of maternity and other medical services at hospitals in rural areas of Queensland and the negative impact this has had on communities in these areas.


Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure adequate funding, resources and qualified medical professionals are provided to hospitals in rural areas of Queensland to deliver maternity and other medical services.
