The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the concerns of citizens relating to the requirement for cats and dogs in rural shire areas to be registered. This is a costly impost to the rural landholders and the local authority to ensure compliance.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to initiate action to remove the requirement for cats and dogs in rural areas to be registered.
