TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of electors of the Division of Mudgeeraba draws to the attention of the House that proposed changes to the legislation which unfairly charges an increase in exit fees for residents residing in Retirement Villages is fundamentally inconsistent with the role of the Office of Fair Trading.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to oppose the increase in exit fees and asks that the State Labor Government consider the concerns of Retirement Villages in the electorate of Mudgeeraba in the State of Queensland.
