                The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House action taken by the Department of Environment and Resource Management (DERM) officers in the raid accompanied by a police officer at Rainbow Beach QLD on the 25 August 2009 at 7am to the residence of Jennifer Parkhurst, Wildlife photographer/author and member of the National Dingo Recovery Program.Your petitioners therefore request the House to ensure that:1. All video, photographs, field notes, personal letters etc be returned immediately.2. A report on all activities for the last 7 years from DERM rangers on Fraser Island regarding hazing and shooting of the dingoes.3. An independent and transparent investigation into the management of Fraser Island by QPWS (DERM).4. An alternative report to the recent report of the Fraser Island Dingo Management Strategy from qualified people, such as vet’s researchers, indigenous owners, local residents etc who have a better knowledge of the Fraser Island dingo.5. All rangers be given opportunity to express their feelings anonymously about current management strategy.
