The petition of the residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that an arterial road through the residential heart of Kenmore is not an economically or environmentally sustainable solution for the traffic problems in Brisbane’s west. If such a short-sighted road were to proceed, it would adversely effect thousands of local residents, their lifestyle and health, and our local environment. Your petitioners therefore request the House to investigate other practical and sensible short and long term solutions to traffic problems in Brisbane’s west and rule out any further arterial road development through the residential heart of Kenmore.
