The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House that it is currently illegal to have an internal combustion engine attached to a pushbike whilst riding on roads or bikeways. Your petitioners, therefore request the House to amend rules to allow a rider with an open licence plus a special registration plate purchased for a nominal fee by a holder of an open bike licence, so a pushbike with a motor no greater than 50 cc displaying this place may be ridden by a holder of an open bike licence according to the normal rules which apply to riding pushbikes
