TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of electors of the Division of Inala draws to the attention of the House the urgent need to address road safety in the Oxley State School precinct. Your petitioners therefore request the House to address our concerns: Bannerman Street • Round-a-bout at the STOP sign to allow traffic to turn around safely. • Pedestrian Crossing at 'Safety Zone'. • Lollipop person to operate 'Safety Zone'. Colwell Street • Pedestrian crossing near Oxley Rd intersection. • Parking Lane parallel to school fence for pick-up and drop-off. Oxley Road • Fence erected on both sides of Oxley Rd lights crossing to prevent students stepping out or falling towards traffic.
