TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of citizens of Queensland, draws to the attention of the House of the difficulties for families and tourists to utilise swimming facilities in full safety and at night at Yeppoon’s Main Beach owing to marine dangers such as stingers and sharks.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to consider and approve a seawater swimming enclosure being erected at Yeppoon on the southern end of the Main Beach with lighting for night swimmers.
