The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the lack of a fire station of sufficient capability to adequately service Nerang and surrounding suburbs. These areas have experienced tremendous growth and are not serviced by a Queensland and Fire Rescue Service (QFRS) station within reasonable distance.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to construct, man, maintain and fully-fund a 24 hour a day fire station in Nerang.
