The petition of the undersigned citizens in the State of Queensland respectfully showeth: that the recreation area at Inskip Point has been used predominantly for camping for over 50 years and is ideally suited for this purpose.

Your petitioners, therefore, humbly pray that the Parliament of Queensland will ensure that (a) the Recreation Area be used to the fullest extent possible and that the areas devoted to camping not be reduced but that consideration be given to increasing the camping areas to alleviate crowding problems in peak times. (b) That a consultative committee of stakeholders be formed to assist the National Park and Wildlife Service in planning any future changes. And your petitioners, as in duty bound will ever pray.
