TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the house the planned upgrade to four lanes of the Kuranda Range Road. This upgrade is needed urgently to meet increasing traffic volumes, improve safety, enhance reliability and allow for further economic development.
The upgrade, as proposed, is very environmentally responsible, and your petitioners therefore request the House to ensure the Kuranda Range Road upgrade is fast tracked as a matter of urgency, for completion as soon as is possible.
