This Petition of residents of Atherton and district draws to the attention of the House the sudden cancellation of the replacement of the outdated, unsafe and unhygienic Atherton Ambulance Station. This is despite repeated Ministerial promises dating back to 2001 of a new station and assurances as recent as March 2005 that it would be built by the end of 2005.
Your Petitioners therefore request the House to direct the construction of the replacement Ambulance Station for Atherton take place as a matter of urgency and without further delay.
