This petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the need for more Australian trained doctors.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to • call on the Federal Government to immediately take steps to provide the funding necessary to increase the number of university places for Australian medical students (in our universities) to a level that will eliminate our dependence on overseas doctors and • call on the Queensland Government to ensure these students will have training positions available in Queensland Hospitals.
