The petition of the residents of the state of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the Moreton Mill Weir and its historical significance and aesthetic value to the town of Nambour. The Weir has been a part of Nambour for over a century and its beautiful water holes are home to many marine species, including families of platypus.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to do everything in its power to ensure that the Weir is retained and maintained for the enjoyment of the people of Nambour.
