4492-26 Swimming enclosures in Redcliffe and other Moreton Bay locations
Eligibility - Residents of the State of Queensland7 Savu Court
KIPPA RING QLD 4021
The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House with the recent shark sightings and attacks in the news articles, people are too scared to swim and enjoy the beach. Safety enclosures should be made available at all beaches to provide every resident regardless of age, ability or confidence in the water a safe place to swim and are particularly beneficial to help families, elderly people, tourists and people with a disability be safe. These enclosures do not hurt sea life but will keep sharks and other marine life from injuring or killing swimmers.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to ensure the Moreton Bay Council install shark-safe beach enclosures at Redcliffe and Bribie Island.
