E-Petition

The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the urgent need for an expanded education precinct in the city centre of Hervey Bay to meet the growing educational needs of the Sunshine Coast University and Hervey Bay TAFE students. 

The proposed education precinct will comprise the co-location of the University of Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay TAFE campuses.

A Hervey Bay education precinct interconnected with the newly constructed Hervey Bay library and administration centre (incorporating a disaster resilience centre) will transform the city centre. 

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure a concept plan be developed for the creation of an expanded education precinct to meet the growing educational needs of the Hervey Bay community.
