The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House community concern and uncertainty surrounding the expansion of the M1 and extension of the South East Busway from Daisy Hill to the Logan Motorway, and the lack of publicly available information about this project.

Residents believe that transparency and timely communication are essential to ensure that local communities can properly understand, plan for, and respond to potential changes in their area.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to:

  1.  Release the latest business case for the proposed Daisy Hill to Logan Motorway upgrade; 
  2. Be transparent with the community about whether the Daisy Hill to Logan Motorway upgrade will proceed, including the anticipated scope, timeline, and impacts of any planned works; and
  3. Ensure the Government finishes the M1 and Busway - Daisy Hill to Logan Motorway.
