The petition of Electors of the Division of Maryborough draws to the attention of the House safety concerns on Maryborough-Boonooroo Road near Baywood Timber. Heavy timber trucks from the mill, combined with high traffic volume, pose risks to over 20 nearby residential properties and daily users from Yarilee Drive, Kinghorn Road, Bidwill Road and surrounding areas.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to change the 60km zone from Bushnell Street until and after the Bidwell intersection, after which the speed can be increased to 80 km and then 100 km.
