Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House that rabbits are listed on the Biosecurity Act 2014 as a category 3, 4, 5 and 6 restricted animal that cannot be kept, moved, fed, given away, sold or released into the environment. They threaten the survival of many rare and endangered species. Cats are a severe danger to many rare and endangered species.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to include cats in the Biosecurity Act 2014 with the same ratings as rabbits ie. category 3, 4, 5 and 6 restricted invasive animal because they are a danger to many rare and endangered species.
