Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House that smoking causes the deaths of more than 3,400 people a year. Queensland government allows smokers to be in government houses which is a terrible problem for the non-smokers and for the other government housing tenants that may be within an area where the cigarette smoke may cause them serious health problems

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ban smoking in all government housing. If the smokers insist on smoking they can choose the general housing rental facilities instead of government housing.
