TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House that in the 21st century wood burning fires and stoves are still allowed in our towns and cities throughout Queensland. The arcane practice is terrible for communities because of the smoke and for the environment with the chopping down of forests and trucking the wood and logs up to 900km. The smoke from these disasters causes community problems.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ban the use of wood and coal burning fires and stoves in all our towns and cities.
