Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the need for a designated playground for the Pimpama State Primary College students in years 3-6 (ages 7-12), which has never been provided, resulting in limited opportunities for physical activity and engagement during recess and lunch breaks.

It is envisaged that a Ninja Warrior-style playground would not only provide an exciting and challenging environment for the older students, but it is also expected to lead to a decline in negative lunchtime behaviours by keeping students actively engaged. This type of playground promotes physical fitness, teamwork and problem-solving skills, all of which are crucial to a young person’s development.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure a designated playground facility at Pimpama State Primary College for Years 3-6 which aims to create a more positive and stimulating environment that supports the physical and mental well-being of the students.
