TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the urgent need to reinstate the full complement of eight police officers at the Eagleby Police Beat. Currently, there are only four officers tasked with managing this extremely busy precinct. Given the high rates of crime in our area, it is imperative that the residents of Eagleby feel safe and secure in their homes. The current staffing levels are inadequate to ensure this security, leaving the community feeling vulnerable and let down.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to take all necessary actions to restore the staffing levels at the Eagleby Police Beat to eight officers. This will help enhance the safety and well-being of Eagleby residents.
