Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House:

•    narrow sections, blind corners and sharp bitumen drop offs on the Tara Kogan Road (Road number: 3402);

•    the increasing demand for the movement of heavy vehicles servicing the livestock, grain and resource industries;

•    the narrow not fit for purpose bridges on the Wambo Creek, Stockyard Creek and Kogan Creek; and

•    the lack of funding spent on upgrading the Tara Kogan Road.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to:

•    progressively widen the narrow sections and blind corners of the Tara Kogan Road to make this road a continuous 8 metre seal;

•    remediate the sharp bitumen drop offs as a matter of urgency; and

•    upgrade the Wambo Creek, Stockyard Creek and Kogan Creek bridges to meet industry heavy vehicle requirements.
