Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House, the need for urgent infrastructure upgrades for Cedar Creek State School. The school is currently facing several issues that impact the students’ learning environment and overall well-being.

First and foremost, the school needs a new toilet block. The existing facilities are outdated and insufficient to meet the needs of the growing student population. Additionally, the installation of water bubblers throughout the school grounds is essential to ensure students have access to clean drinking water, promoting health and hydration.

Furthermore, the pathways around the school are in disrepair, creating safety hazards for students and staff. The pathways need replacing and the installation of adequate lighting to enhance safety during early morning and late afternoon activities.

Finally, the three playgrounds lack adequate shade. Providing shaded areas is crucial to protect the children from harmful UV rays and to ensure they have comfortable outdoor spaces to play and learn.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to ensure that these critical infrastructure upgrades for Cedar Creek State School are addressed immediately as they are not just improvements but necessities for creating a safe, healthy, and conducive learning environment for all the students.
