TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the need to reinstate regular tenant meetings for Housing Commission tenants. The regular tenant meetings were put on hold after COVID began in 2020 and were an invaluable resource for tenants of the Housing Commission to provide mutual and independent support and advice on the best way to approach the Housing Commission regarding the issues they experience.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to reinstate the regular meetings for tenants of the Housing Commission.
