The petition of the electors of the Division of Thuringowa draws to the attention of the House environmental noise generated by increased road traffic; sleep disturbance, annoyance, inhibited concentration and substantial detraction from, and impeding the rights, to peace and enjoyment of our environment.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to re-evaluate the existing noise barrier and conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the airborne disturbance, not only behind the current (new) barriers but also further along the northern boundary of the property where other homes without a noise barrier are impacted.
