TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the recent spike in property crime in the Burdekin district.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to:
1. permanently increase police officer numbers, including plain clothes officers, stationed at both the Home Hill and Ayr stations to provide for increased patrols and support existing police officers and staff; and
2. fully fund private security patrols until police officer numbers are increased in line with the above.
