TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House: the urgent need for a red light camera to be installed on Moggill Road, west bound, outside Indooroopilly State School, at the top of Russell Terrace. Recently a child was struck by a car while crossing Moggill Road at the signalised intersection. The driver allegedly ran the red light, causing the incident.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to: ensure the relevant State authority installs a red light camera at the signalised pedestrian crossing on Moggill Road outside Indooroopilly State School, to provide a deterrent for drivers to run red lights and to increase the safety of pedestrians at this site.
