TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House the application for a liquor licence at tenancy 2, 102 Howard Street Nambour. The proposed location of the bottle shop will cause inconvenience and annoyance to people residing in the area and also to those conducting business in the area. Of major concern is the impact these premises will have on parents and children attending the nearby kindergarten-preschool facility.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to call upon Hon Margaret Keech Minister for Tourism, Fair Trading and Wine Industry Development to instruct her Department to reject this application.
