Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the dangerous t-intersection of Mt Cotton Road and Double Jump Road. Stationary traffic are required to pull out from Double Jump Road into 80-90km/hr traffic on Mt Cotton Road. Everyday there is a near hit and it’s only a matter of time before another serious accident/death. Delays of 10 minutes are also not uncommon which causes drivers to pull out from frustration when they should not.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House that from a risk assessment perspective traffic signals be installed at the intersection of Mt Cotton Road and Double Jump Road as a matter of urgency.
