TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the need for stadium infrastructure upgrades at Victoria Park, Rockhampton. The community needs first-class sporting complex infrastructure for a growing population as well as to stimulate the local Rockhampton economy post COVID-19 which this shovel-ready project would provide.
The other proposed site of Browne Park is not an option due to accessibility issues as well as the lack of community support for the alternative site.
Your petitioners therefore, request the House commit to sporting complex upgrades at the proposed Victoria Park site.
