TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of citizens of Queensland, draws to the attention of the House rising insurance costs, combined with double taxation (G.S.T. + Stamp Duty) adding 19% to premiums, is causing hardship for pensioners.
Your petitioners therefore request the House give relief to pensioners in the form of a rebate on these added taxes.
